Brilliant! As I've grown up in and around Newcastle and Northumbria I've seen many strange and absurd things that both shock and intrigue you and these are the stories you tell your friends in a way that you know only they could find funny. What Gordon Shepherd does is tells the stories that we can only imagine and in a way that everyone can enjoy and feel part of. Better yet he manages to balance that humour in such a cleverly crafted way that doesn't offend but brings the reader in to what must be one of the most stressful and challenging carries, that of our boys in blue. A fantastic joy to read and reread. I'm sure many of these stories will end up becoming those urban myths where you say to people 'did you here the story about...'Five Stars
