I got this ebook and read it in one night, its got a lovely smooth flowing story line, its not rushed and its got a lovely ending! its got some good ups and downs!! keeps you wanting to read on. Something i also liked was the epilogue, not all writers do this and leaves you hanging wondering how things goes for the couple, this book has a nice epilogue added to the end! loved it!!

a story aboutan intern who falls in love with her boss and in the meantime is being discovered for her musical talent, lots of drama between her boss and his ex and our MC being secretly in love ...in theend it all ends well.So much for the story. I give three stars for the plot. The characters: two stars, because somehow they remain distant- Lexie suddenly develops real emotion when she explodes in rage- for this short moment there is perceptible life in this person, despite all descriptions of how Sidney and Lexie are supposedly friends they rarely interact with dialogue and actions - this is a problem I have felt throughout the book- the style is good, the editing is okay (a couple of surplus words that must have remained from a prior version), but there is always the distance between the narrator and the reader. It feels a bit like reading somebody´s diary- all the emotional moments are only meaningful to those who have actually experienced them- the outsider is left standing outside, emotionally.Have you ever read a love scene with a couple who has finally found their way to each other and all you get is "when it was over he held her to his chest". For real?????? This made my rating drop abysmally, sorry, but even if the author doesn´t want to write anything salacious, a bit more emotion would have been nice. Beautiful example what I mean is a quote from another author- just a few words, but it conveys so much emotion:"He shifted her and then there was only fullness."(while lovers are doing the deed)- see what I mean? And the same goes for the music. Reading about the artists in the recording studio doesn´t really make you feel the music. Example? Again, from another author. Just to give you an idea what you can do with mere words to create the feeling of listening to music inside your head. "The crash of piano and soaring blend of Margo`s strings was as powerful a sit was haunting...It was a passionate and sweeping song that had more in common with an epic battle of man and nature." As opposed to: "The song was angsty but still positive. They sang together, their voices medling in sweet harmony, the words of love not quite lost flowing from their lips."So: don´t get me wrong, I read the teasers and bought all three books, but the first one didn´t tempt me to give it more than two stars.

Sidney is a tough case moving to California on her own with no support. She meets her boss rob and falls in love with him. There is chemistry and a connection that both of them ignore. Until one night encounter changes their relationship forever.I mean the maturity level of rob astounds me. I mean come on blaming Sidney is just utter crap it takes 2 buddy. In the end it worked out but if I was her I would have held a grudge. Overall the story was amazing and the characters are right on par with the shallowness of the music industry.

A good read but the main characters Sidney and Rob lacked a little chemistry which made the story hard going in places.Sidney has moved from Indiana to become an intern at Ross Records where she strikes up a friendship with Rob Ross. Over the weeks they become close as Sidney's past threatens to catch up with her but will she be able to count on Rob for support?I liked the story and will probably check out the other books in this series.

I am so utterly confused. I just LOVED the Wrong reasons series. Really I did. The story was so good and interesting and well written. But this book??? I don't know what to say it was so boring. I just kept waiting for something to happen. And I never felt any connection between Rookie and Rob. I don't like saying bad things about books but this one was just BLEH....

Really rushed through this to finish simply because I found no real substance in all the relationships between the characters, especially with the main characters.
