AudioBook Review: Stars: Overall: 4 Narration 4 Story: 4Lacy and Dane first met 15 months ago at her sister’s wedding: but distance and careers kept them apart. They’ve managed to keep in touch via telephone, Skype and email: but each loves the job they have, and neither is particularly ready for a full-on relationship. Lacy is working in her dream job: marketing and promotion, and she’s completely comfortable doing just that. Sure, she’s attracted to Dane, and she does dream of him, not to mention being totally turned on, but his job (and his commitment to it) scare her to death. Dane makes his living tagging sharks and educating people about them. He’s obsessed with sharks and probably has more than a mild streak of adrenaline junkie. He doesn’t know of Lacy’s bone-deep fear of sharks, or her concerns about a relationship with a man who not only won’t put her first as he works all the time, but works around such danger. These two are cute together – and Lacy’s certainly got plenty to decide on: is it worth her effort to get attached to a man who works with the thing that scares her most – especially when he’s ALWAYS working? And what about that – is he running away from potential commitments, finding it easier to hide out with the man eaters? Oh Dane does appear to truly enjoy Lacy, and he cares for her – but he’s got a streak of spoilt and isn’t willing to discuss compromise. But neither can forget the electric connection, the steam that rises between them in every interaction – and what steam it is. With plenty of moments from other characters, including plenty of sisterly advice, the two do manage to both open up and be honest, and just maybe Lacy can overcome some of her fear, just as Dane is willing to open up to the possibility of being hurt by love. Narration for this story is provided by B.J. Harrison, and while his performance was adept and acceptable, my ears and heart yearn for some dual narrative performances for this series, adding that palpable touch of feminine energy that Lacy so required and deserved. His performance of Dane and the other males in the cast felt natural, but there was a clear element missing with the women: it wasn’t for a lack of tone / pitch /delivery changes but a sense of energy that was less male, more feminine and softer, more an iron fist in velvet glove feel than I got here. Each of these stories works alone, and while previous characters appear and influence the story, the listener is provided with enough information to understand the relationship in the moment, and becomes a treat for listeners familiar with their stories as they are allowed a moment to continue their own stories. The Braden men are solidly good guys – even when they misstep, and are sure to be favorites of many. I received an AudioBook copy of the title from the producer for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility. Review first appeared at I am, Indeed

I was so excited to read that Lacy was coming back in this story. The last I read about her was at Kaylie and Danica's wedding. I read every book waiting for her to make another appearance and my luck finally changed and I got my wish.Dane Braden is smokin' hot and an amazingly caring guy. We learn about his work with sharks through the Brave Foundation. His whole life revolves around teaching others about sharks and why they do the things they do. Enter Lacy Snow who has a fear of sharks ever since she was attacked by one when she was young. While they have an incredibly strong connection it may not be enough to be able to overcome their obstacles.I really felt for the characters as they battled their feelings for each other and this issue with Dane's occupation. How awful must it be to love someone and hate what they do for a living. Hate being away from them for fear of something terrible happening. Will Lacy and Dane be able to make it through this? You will have to read it to find out! This book is like the others and is able to be read as a stand alone book but this series is so so amazing so why in the world would you even do it?

It's a series, so I have to finish it. But I really wish I hadn't even started reading it! The characters and writing style make me want to scream!

Dane and Lacy are forced to face their deepest fears head-on and try and navigate their own sea of love. The first few chapters are set at Max and Treat's wedding and all I can say is man does Treat know how to throw a wedding. It was beautiful. I loved it and after hearing so much about the dress in Friendship on Fire it was excellent to finally picture Max in it.Lacy Snow is a brave woman. She has a phobia like a huge phobia and she faces it. That is an achievement. I really liked Lacy. I thought she was a very sweet, clever girl and she had clearly fallen for Dane. Big time! It was obvious from the very first chapter how much she had fallen for him even if she didn't quite know it herself yet.Kaylie and Danica were excellent sisters. They could have hated Lacy being their half sister and all, but they show nothing but love and concern for Lacy as well as a lot of support.Dane  has what I am becoming to realise is the usual Braden traits loyal, kind, caring and sensitive. Oh and of course stupidly gorgeous. In friendship on fire we catch a slight glimpse of how much he likes Lacy but this multiplies a million times in this book. I really loved seeing the twists and turns in his relationships with Lacy, his best friend Rob and his family. The Bradens are a loyal family. Once you are in the fold you are protected for life and I love that. I also love Hal's saying "Family knows no boundaries" it is especially true for this family. Right now in literature, I think the Braden brother have got to be my favorite men. Dane is the book boyfriend that I have been looking for to add to my list. He is everything you could want and more. He is the founder of the Brave Foundation, and is always somewhere studying and tagging sharks. He is a risk taker which makes him all the more appealing. With his life that he leads though he has never seen himself settling down, but when he met Lacy Snow at his cousin's wedding that all changed. Lacy and Dane have kept in touch ever since the wedding for fifteen months until they FINALLY get to meet up again at yet another wedding in the family for Treat on Cape Cod.I loved being on the journey as Dane and Lacy explore their relationship more and prove to themselves that they are meant to be something. There are the daunting times that makes it seem like the relationship would be impossible, but I was happy to see them move passed those. One of the bigger issues was that Lacy was afraid of sharks, and with Dane tagging them for a living, it was something that they needed to work through together. Will they be able to make everything work for them to ultimately be together? There is absolutely no lack of feelings between Dane and Lacy so you would think that this would be a no brainer from the start, but I really was truly happy that Melissa Foster made it so that there were onstacles to overcome. I like to read a good sap romance every once in a while where everything seems to fall in place perfectly, but that to me is not real life. I am glad that Melissa kept it real for the readers with Dance and Lacey's relationship and the troubles that they faced along the way. If you are shy about sex scenes, then cover your eyes, because Melissa has done it again in the steam department. Thanks so much for making us swoon once again in these novels, and I will be sad to see the series close after the next two books. Maybe more spinoffs in the future? Or perhaps I will just have to re-read!Disclosure: I was given a copy of this book through Beck Valley Book Tours in exchange for my open and honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

I want to be Melissa Foster's book tester- you know like the kitchen helper you get to taste the first batch of whatever is cooking? Yeah, I'd like to be the first to read whatever Foster whips up for writing. Really, I'm not sure how she'd go wrong really. With that being said, I will say book 4 in the Love in Bloom series - Sea of Love is wonderful!Dane Braden and Lacy Snow met at a cousin's wedding in a previous book ( don't worry all books are stand alone , you will enjoy) After the wedding, Lacy and Dane have kept up in contact spend the next fifteen months - yeah 15!- keeping in touch . I love that it's made this way, in this day an age everyone is on the phone, computer and technology can bring two people together, well Foster made it happen! During these months they grow as close as possibly from a distance, really getting to know each other and feeling their way until they get to meet face to face again at another wedding. There's just no way to miss the passion between the two, it just grows stronger page to page.Dane loves risks, tall dark and handsome along with risks, come on what's not to love? Who's to blame Lacy for falling for him ? Problem is, Dane's passion has him off studying the very thing that scares Lacy who is dealing with her own passion. Working hard to get promoted it only adds another challenge between the two. Can they work through the obstacles? Or will another fifteen long months separate the two- or worse , will it end things all together? You'll have to read it to find out.Foster really kept this book true to life, the hardships, how they had to work at things . That's always important to me, people are changing from day to day experiences change you so when it's brought to words in a book it always grabs me. There's nothing lacking in this story from beginning to end Foster always deliveries!

I love that each book in this series builds on the storyline and lives of the characters, but can, easily, be read as a standalone novel. Sea of Love reintroduces us to Dane Braden and Lacy Snow. Sparks flew when these two met at Lacy's sisters wedding and, of course, sparks flew. For over a year, the two have been keeping in touch regularly via Skype, steamy phone calls, and flirtatious text messages and emails - a modern day romance, right? Now it would not be a true romance novel if there wasn't some drama, right? Dane's passion in life is protecting sharks and educating others on the vital role they have in nature. Lacy is terrified of sharks after an attack when she was younger left her scarred - physically and emotionally. The thought of Dane's career puts fear in heart and she does not believe she can fully give into a relationship with someone who searches out the very creatures she's mortified of.Sea of Love is about facing our fears - not just for the sake of love, but for our personal growth and development. Are we content with letting our fears control us or are we willing to take control of our fears and overcome them?Melissa Foster has written a great love story with characters that you cannot help but fall in love with and root along as they sail the sea of love!

Okay, you all know how much I love the Braden brothers. Add Dane to that ever-growing list of book boyfriends. Shark tagger, lover, sex-god - that is Dane. Hot, sexy, tan and oh, so delicious. I honestly don't know how Melissa Foster keeps up with all these sexy characters. Lucky Lacy Snow (Danica and Kaylie's sister) met Dane when Danica married Blake, but that was 15 long months ago. During that time they've kept up with one another via Skype and messaging, but when Treat and Max get married Dane and Lacy are thrown into facing their feelings and (wow) those are some strong feelings. There is no lack of passion between Dane and Lacy. Sex on the beach, sex on a yacht, even a little sex in a bed or two. Dane and Lacy have a lot of passion. Melissa Foster has done it again. I loved this story of love from a distance, love thrown together, and the ever-challenging love. It's a whole-lotta love.Poor Lacy is afraid of sharks, that is really the biggest issue between Lacy and Dane because he's a shark tagger. Is it something that can be overcome or will it be just too much for love to conquer? Melissa Foster does it again with this sexy romance story with a little angst. As with all of the Love in Bloom novels, this one is a happily ever after. If only we could all find a Dane. *swoon*

I was very expectant when I began this book, and it met every one of my hopes. I don’t read romances, but I do read Melissa Foster. I love her writing and have been following her Braden brother series. I am excited to experience Lacy Snow and Dane Braden’s tumultuous fight for their love to prevail. This book, which is actually in The Bradens’ series, re-introduces us to Dane Braden, whose work is centered on one of Lacy’s greatest fears. She’s had anxiety and panic attacks her whole life after being attacked by a shark in her youth. Dane is a premier authority and shark tagger - owner of the Brave Foundation. Sharks are his life. In addition, he risks his life for the work he loves regularly. Foster does an excellent job of taking these two characters through a lot of realistic situations to work out their love, dealing with everything from Lacy’s very real fears, to alcoholism and how real families deal with it when a loved ones job is dangerous. In the end, this is a love story. Dane does a lot to show Lacy that his ultimate goal is loving her. One thing I liked about this book is that these two had a relationship that lasted for 15 months before the sex started. That was kinda cool. Oh yeah, there was sex. Hot sex. Don’t want to forget to say THAT!

I loved the Lacey Snow character in this book but I had a much harder time with Dane Braden the second oldest of the Braden siblings. No question Dane loves Lacy. Just not as much as he loves his job. Je's a good man. Like all the Bradens he's honest, caring, loyal and passionate about his work trying to change public opinion about sharks. My issue with Dane is that despite his love for Lacey he'd rather let her walk away than give up the dangerous part of his work to ease her concerns. And honestly the author never made it clear why actually getting in the water with sharks had to be a prerequisite to him doing his job. To tag them with a transmitter required him to haul them up towards the side of his boat and stick a tag in their fin. Also, it's clear he doesn't feel Lacy's career is nearly as important as his own. He even tries to dissuade his best friend and shark chasing buddy Rob from quitting even though Rob says his marriage is in jeopardy if he doesn't. He's just all about what Dane wants, what Dane needs. Well at least until the very end of the book.Lacey Snow is the half-sister of Kaylee and Danica Snow. Danica is married to Dane's cousin Blake and Kaylie is married to Chaz, Treat's wife Max's boss and her BFF. Danica an ex-therapist and Kaylie play major secondary roles in this story. Of course the entire Braden clan also has their moments supporting both Dane and Lacey. In Lacey Ms. Foster has created a woman who is both beautiful, innocent, vulnerable and highly sexual. Right from their first time she doesn't seem to have any issued dealing the Dane's insanely large male member. She also has an extreme fear of sharks having been bitten by one when she was 7 years old. So she's hardly a great match for a guy who swims with sharks for a living. And she's worked hard to build her own career and isn't sure she wants to give it up to follow Dane around the world or settle for snatches of his time when his schedule allows. She also fears giving up her career and her heart to someone in such a risky profession. Just when it appears there's no hope for their relationship a few things happen to change both their opinions and thank God Lacey is able to get her well deserved promotion, keep her job and still live with Dane on his boat and travel around the world. Hey every decent romance novel contains no small bit of a fairy tale in it's H.E.A.

The Braden saga continues with Dane Branden taking the plunge. Dane and Lacy have only actually seen each other once in the past 15 months. Their attraction was immediate and strong but their careers drove them in different directions and kept them apart, physically, for over a year.Theirs is a story of learning to overcome fears. They’re both young and idealistic, determined to follow the path they have set for their lives. They’d met at Lacy’s sister’s wedding 15 months earlier and were wildly attracted to each other but did not have the time or opportunity to explore their feelings. They have been communicating with SKYPE and phone calls all this time and now Dane’s brother, Treat, is getting married and they have both arranged to take the time to get to know each other and see where it all goes.Dane’s love of the ocean, and sharks, is his life and his livelihood. He has always used this as an excuse to never commit to anyone. He spends 98% of his life on the water, even living on his boat. No ties. He has avoided commitment ever since the loss of his mother as a young boy. Watching the pain his father has endured every minute since his mother passed has made him think that loving someone that much is not for him.His career also poses a huge problem for Lacy, who was attacked by a shark at a young age and bears the scars, inside and out. She is afraid Dane will not want anything more to do with her if he finds out she is deathly afraid of sharks. Not to mention that she is just starting to make a name for herself in her chosen field of marketing and she doesn’t want to give up all the ground she has gained in the industry to travel the world’s oceans, even if it is with the sexiest man she has ever known. The journey these two must make to conquer their fears is the crux of this story and I found it very moving. It makes you stop and think about your own fears, what would you do to get over them, to move forward with your life, and to have the happiness that is right in front of you, but just out of reach?

I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook for Sea of Love. Omg this audio was scorching hot. Sea of Love is the story of Lacy Snow who works at World Geographic as an account executive and Dane Braden who is founder of Brave Foundation. Dane works with saving and educating people about sharks. Lacy and Dave first meet and Lacy sisters double wedding. That was 15 long months ago. Since then they have exchanged emails, flirty texts and video chats. All that comes to a head when they finally see each other again at Max and Treat's wedding. OMG. Their chemisty is off the charts. The dance they first share is full of heat. Their first kiss is intense. And when they finally come together is fireworks. Everything about their story was amazing. B.J. Harrison is a great narrator. This audiobook is one of my top favorites by Melissa Foster. Loved listening to every minute of this audiobook.

15 months. It took 15 months for Lacy and Dane to be in the same physical space again. It took Max and Treat's wedding to finally make it happen. The attraction was immediate and likely obvious to everyone around them. While the attraction was undeniable, what was it that kept them apart for so long? Work? Promotions? The Brave Foundation mission of helping sharks? Lacy, is afraid of sharks due to an experience from her childhood. Dane isn't sure, at first, what he is afraid of, but why didn't he go to Lacy during those 15 months? How these two be able to overcome their fears? Or will they? When they are together, the passion is undeniable. But, how do they get past their hangups in order to be together? Does love conquer all?I thoroughly enjoyed following Lacy and Dane on their journey. I laughed and cried for them, and continued to hold out hope that they would pull together in the end.

I loved coming back to this book a couple years after initially reading it and listening to the audiobook version. Lacy and Dane, who were introduced during of Melissa's "Snow Sisters" series, come back together after months of keeping in touch and steamy conversations. This book was great to experience as an audiobook because you could really feel the emotion conveyed between the characters.Between the physical distance that has separated them and the two separate "worlds" they come from, as a reader you really aren't sure if these two are going to overcome fears and reservations to come together. They really do have to build on everything they built in their long distance relationship and explore their fears.

Dane and Lacy struggle to survive- excellent storyThis series just gets better and better! Sea of Love is the story of Dane Braden and Lacy Snow who met at a wedding. They have not seen each other for 15 months but over time have developed a phone, text, and Skype relationship. When they finally see each other they become intimately involved. But Lacy has a secret that will challenge their relationship and their future. BJ Harrison’s voice is melodious and riveting. I love how he reads patriarch Hal Braden. He also read with emotion that touched me during scenes regarding Dane’s friendship with coworker Rob. This was an excellent audiobook.

We met lacy and Dane in the 3rd book of this series in sisters in white. After their first meeting they start a long distance friendship. And after nearly a year apart they are finally in the same town at the same time. However to move their relegation ship forward lacy has fears she needs to over come and Dane has to fight to help her overcome them. It's clear from the start they live each other but this is a story in asking if love is enough to get past the fears holding them back. Melissa writing is awesome I enjoy reading her books and look forward to the next

Yet another great story by Melissa Foster and of course a great tie in from the Sister books and Braden's. I highly recommend the whole series and as any of the others in their series this one is great. 15 months of flirting culminates when Lacy and Dane see each other for Lacy's other sisters wedding. Another hot and steamy Romance narrated by a fabulous narrator. Can't wait for the next one!

This was a great addition to this series as it progresses. I enjoyed Lacey and Dane's story as they overcame fears and insecurities to find their love. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books in the series as well as the strong sense of family among the characters throughout the book. I like how each book in this series can be read as a standalone book but the reader is given enough backstory so that the reader was not lost. In the audio version of this book, I enjoyed the narrator in that his narration was easy to follow and clear. The narrator was also able to make enough changes to the voices of the characters so that they were easy to differentiate between but made them enjoyable to follow and interesting in character. Like the other books in this series, I have enjoyed this book from start to finish.

This book just jumps right into the chemistry of Dane and Lacy. They have a history for Danica and Kaylie's wedding. They are so steamy you can feel it though the pages. Lacy has a huge fear to over come that the fear just happens to be Dane's whole life. I enjoyed reading this book a few years ago, but listening to it I've picked up on so much more detail. BJ does such a great job.

I have read all of Melissa Fosters books. I have started listening to the audio books. I have fallen in love with the Braden men all over again. I think BJ Harrison does an excellent job on the narration. The book is about Dane Braden and Lacy Snow. Dane tracks sharks for a living and Lacy is deathly afraid of sharks. Can their love withstand the fears? This is such a great book. Lots of hot sex too.

I felt like Dane and Lacey had no chemistry, and no connection. The whole panic attack situation with her not being able to tell Dane about the shark attack seemed silly based on how long ago it occurred AND the fact they had been communicating regularly over a 15 month period.Lacey seemed unsure of what she felt, seemed unable to make a decision, and was basically pretty wishy-washy.I recommend you read this and make your own determination.

Dane Braden wasn't looking for anything serious, but in the fifteen months since he last saw Lacy Snow, she's somehow become a huge part of his life. But Skype and Facetime are nothing compared to what he feels when he finally lays eyes on her again.Lacy Snow knows better than to get involved with a man who makes a living — and makes his home — in a boat traveling around the world. But something about Dane grabs ahold of her, and when they're finally in the same place, there's no way they can deny their attraction. But what he does for a living is everything she fears, and falling in love doesn't necessarily make their lives any more compatible.TheVerdict: I absolutely loved Lacy. She's outgoing and sweet and fun — and even when things got all kinds of angsty, I understood every decision she made.To be honest, I didn't expect to like Dane very much. After learning a little about him in the earlier books, I just couldn't see how he was going to convince me that he was worth Lacy. But his internal conflict, his initially not being able to name or understand what he was feeling… Well, seeing everything from his perspective had me falling in love with him right alongside Lacy. While all the characters and stories in this series are very different from each other (and individually wonderful), this one really stood out to me. Maybe it's that Dane is a flawed guy who doesn't instantly better himself, but rather takes a bit of time to come to terms with both what he wants and who he wants to be. Or maybe it was the whole anxiety thing that sneaked up on Lacy — it should have irked me, given my usual aversion to fictional issues like that, but she ended up making perfect sense to me.And of course, there was the romance. These two took a hell of a long time to get their heads straight — kinda reminded me of Treat and Max with their whole self-sacrificing bit — but if ever there were a couple that belonged together! Their chemistry was off the charts, and the connection they shared was so believable that I was right in the middle of the angst-fest with them. Good thing Melissa Foster always delivers a happily ever after!

Sea of Love by Melissa Foster is the 7th book in her Love in Bloom series, and the 4th for The Bradens. This series is so much fun, and very steamy, with a fantastic family to enjoy. I love starting a new book in this series, wondering if Melissa can keep it up, and continue to get us hooked into another Braden brother. I am happy to say Melissa has created another wonderful romance that sizzles from the start. Sea of Love belongs to Dane Braden and Lacy Snow, whom we met in Sisters in White. 15 months have passed since Danica and Kaylie’s weddings, and when Lacy became attracted to Dane. They have not seen each other in this period, but they texted each other every day. Finally at Treat and Max’s wedding, Dane and Lacy finally come face to face and what follows is hot hot, steamy affair, making up for their lost 15 months. Both know pretty quickly that they have strong feelings for each other, but Dane has always been a womanizer and Lacy is working hard to get a big promotion on her job. Needless to say this and other issues keep this relationship on the brink, even though they are so great together. A major stumbling block is Lacy’s fear of sharks, since as a child she was hurt and bears a scar. Of course, Dane is a Shark tagger, which is his life blood, as he runs the Brave Foundation that works to save sharks, and he is always traveling.Despite these things, they are very much in love, and just when you think they will finally get past their issues, something else happens to put another kink in their relationship. What I loved about this book was that we got to spend a lot of time with Danica and Kaylie Snow again, and it was fun to see the three sisters together helping one another. We know the Bradens are always there for each other, so it was nice to see more of the Snow sisters. Do Dane and Lacy get past their issues and cement their relationship? You need to read this book to find out. Melissa Foster once again has given us another wonderful steamy contemporary romance at its best, with a fabulous couple. I am though, very very excited that Savannah Braden will have her story next in Bursting with Love.BarbThe Reading Cafe

I want to start of with saying I haven't had the chance to read the previous books in the series, but it certainly is possible to read them separately. If you have read the other books it is just more fun, because a lot of the characters makes appearances in Sea Of Love.So while I didn't know the secondary characters in this book it was pretty easy to follow, who is who and how they are all related.Let's just focus on the two main characters, Lacy and Dane. They met at her sisters's wedding about fifteen months ago and the sparks were flying. Because of Dane's job, they did not have the change to meet up since then, so all those months they mostly talked through Skype and email. I liked that this was a chance for them to get to know each other without being able to act on physical attraction. No instant love for these two, rather a connection that grew over time. After that long separation, they finally get to meet again and that sexual tension is definitely hanging in the air. There is also that question of "what now?". They got together, some hot stuff happened and now they have to decide how they will go on from this. Lacy has her job near Boston as a marketing rep and a big promotion is just around the corner. While Dane with his foundation has to travel a lot around the world. Add the fact that Lacy is terrified of sharks and they are Dane's life and bread, well it is not looking good. They both want this relationship. While Dane is trying to figure out just how to do that, Lacy keeps pushing the idea aside. She does not see how they will possible manage with her fear of sharks. It was fine the first time I heard this excuse, after twenty times I was no longer buying it. To me it seemed more like Lacy was scared the relationship might fail, so she kept pushing that excuse out there. It wasn't like she needed constantly to go on expeditions with him, so I didn't really see the problem.Besides that I really enjoyed the book. It was fun and sweet. The plot was a bit predictable, but there was one twist I did not see coming, so that was interesting. If I had more time I could easily read the entire series back to back. *I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review*

After fifteen months of texting, calls, video chats and more Lacy and Dane seem to know all about each other. They have only left a few things out. They only met once but they have have become very close. A wedding brings them back together and they both soon see all the talking has led up to a passionate meeting. They both feel more for each other than lust and it isn't what they expected. Lacy has to reveal her fear of sharks to Dane whose job it is to tag and research them. Between his job and his past with women it may be to much for Lacy to handle. An accident leaves them both wondering if they can get over the obstacles and actually have a relationship.Lacy has many deep down fears she needs to overcome. Her father's actions in some ways has shaped her into what she is today. She is a very beautiful, sweet woman who has a sexy side it seems to take Dane to bring out. She works hard and sometimes lets her job come first. Dane has always bee the one with the most touch with women of his brothers. They all are special but Dane has an extra advantage on them. He loves working with sharks and teaching people about them. He never wanted to settle down but Lacy has his head going in all directions. As you might know I love this series. Lacy and Dane are two characters you have always kinda figured deep down they would be together some day. I enjoyed finding out more about Lacy as I have only got to see small pieces of her so far. You really find out more about her and what really drives her and what she fears and why. I love how Dane does everything he can to help her with her fears. He truly cares about her and does whatever he can to be near her even when she wants to run. Not to mention he is so yummy. They both grow up in many ways in this book as they have to face many difficult decisions. I love getting to know this family as I have read these books and look forward to the next two books. They are packed full of love, humor, and so much more. I wish everyone would try this series.

SEA OF LOVE is book 7 of Melissa Foster's Love in Bloom series (book 4 of The Bradens sub-series), and it is my favorite so far. The story revolves around marine biologist and shark enthusiast Dane Braden and Lacy Snow, a publicist who specializes in helping non-profits gain exposure and support. The pair met at a family wedding three books back. Now we learn that they've been in touch via email and Skype for months. They finally meet in person again on Cape Cod at the wedding of Dane's older brother. Both of them are as anxious as they are excited. Each has a reason to worry. Dane fears his promiscuous past will come back to haunt him, and Lacy worries that her shark phobia will sink their burgeoning relationship. Two factors make SEA OF LOVE a standout in an ocean of contemporary romance novels. First, Dane and Lacy are both fully rounded characters with sturdy back stories and believable quirks. Foster arranges for us to know them first as individuals and then as "hero" and "heroine." Not only do both characters change over the course of the book, the alteration is halting and uneven, just the way real people might experience personal transformation. The second factor contributing to the books success is Foster's ability to set her scenes. Her Cape Cod is so well drawn, I could smell the briny aroma and feel the warm sand between my toes. The chapters on Dane's boat were also completely realistic with enough sensory detail to bring them to life without slowing down the pace or interrupting the narrative. The careful selection of detail also helped build tension in the shark-related sections. I shared both Dane's fascination with these creature, and Lacy's dread as she faced her biggest fear. As for the sensual sizzle that Foster's books have become known for...The erotic scenes left me blushing for sure, but they didn't overwhelm the story. An all-around great read.
