Another clean, sweet and hilarious story in the Wallflowers series. Gemma is sent to the country after her kiss with Colin. Her brother is intent on keeping them apart since Colin is only a Sir. Colin thinks she has rejected him and is trying to become a notorious rake using Lord Anthony's journal.

I enjoyed Taming Wilde a lot! It was a thoroughly entertaining, well written story with fun characters. It is a quick read which had me laughing out loud at points! How can you beat that! It was also nice to revisit friends/characters from the authors' past books in this series as they helped (well, I'll leave that up to your interpretation when you read the book) the main characters with their journey to each other.

Sir Colin Wilde is in love but has been rejected by his love. Now, he is determined to become the most notorious rake around. "Taming Wilde" is full of tales of his escapades, failures and finally his success at acheiving happiness. I love these books and cannot wait for more.

Love this book and the whole series! What a fun read. You have to laugh when the two main characters want the same thing but believe that neither wants it yet are fighting to get it.

TAMING WILDE provides a fresh, fun, and light approach to historical romance. Sir Colin Wilde is determined to become a rake when his attempt at winning a woman's heart ends in heartbreak. Lady Gemma vows to seduce a rake when she is kept from the man she loves by her overbearing brother. And so the games begin. I really enjoyed the characters in this story. Colin's two best friends are ridiculous and hilarious and in teaching Colin how to be a rake basically do everything in their power to embarrass him miserably and get him in a lot of sticky situations. Gemma is spirited and determined and knows just who to ask for help when she's set her mind on taming her rake.As much as I enjoyed this fun tale, I have to admit I'd have liked it a lot more if I could visualize it. It's hard to describe that intangible thing an author does when they write a story that comes to life for the reader, but that's what I was missing here. I almost grasped it about ¾ of the way in, but the story never reached full color for me. At the same time I think the story was so creative and the characters had so much personality that I see a lot of promise for future books from these authors. I especially think it's a refreshing approach to a genre I love.**Copy provided by the author/publisher for an honest review.**Reviewed by preppea on I ♥ Bookie Nookie Reviews and The Romance Reviews.

Taming Wilde is a diverting, easy reading, flirty romance. Sir Colin tries his best to be a notorious rake but his heart just isn't in it. He makes an awful bumbling mess of every attempt. Lady Gemma is the only woman he really wants but he's convinced she spurned him. Still, he just can't stay away. The gentleman inside keeps taking over. Here is one of my favorite quotes from the book. "...He decided the only way out was to dig deeper....He dug until his fingers bled. And all he had to show for it was more darkness and more emptiness. Then again, what did one expect when they were digging holes?"Misunderstandings and that evil, self serving brother have left Lady Gemma hurting and angry. I love the moment that Lady Gemma grows a backbone and digs deep for that determination to get what she wants. Which is, of course, Sir Colin Wilde. This was an enjoyable, clean romance. It had a perfectly perfect happily ever after. My thanks to Astraea Press for allowing me to read and review this book.

Barney Stinson (How I met your mother) trifft auf Jane Austin.

Rating: 4 starsThis story follows Colin Wilde, the best friend of the Benson brothers, of which have managed to get hitched to their own wallflower beauties. After enduring a heartbreak, Wilde sets out to make himself the most talked about rake in town, with the help of Anthony's diary.Lady Gemma has come back. And misunderstandings and obstacles are revealed. When she thinks that Colin is lost to her, she puts forth her plan: the only way to get her man back is for her to try to seduce him.Gemma is best friends with Bridget (in book two). She's always been quiet, until a certain situation made her stand up for what she wants. All in all, a lot of laughs at Colin's expense. I'll reread the three books just to giggle at how the three men banter and insult each other.

This is a cute romantic comedy, but it was a little over the top for me. Perhaps I just didn't know what I was getting myself into when I picked it up. It was so far fetched that I couldn't quite get into it at first. Later as the characters became more human to me (and I began to understand the style of the story), I enjoyed it. It was especially fun to see Wilde get the best of Gemma's brother in the end.

4.5 and my favorite. First, we get to see all of the other MCs in action and they have all become quite wonderful...even Bridget, apparently she just needed to be married. Anyhow, this was hilarious and heartbreaking, with some creative turns that left me wishing for more. I'm quite happy with how everything played out with Colin and Gemma. Except I really wanted Colin to win the boxing match because Hawke needed his bum kicked publicly...just sayin.

**Love Those Damn Twins…The prologue was the best…very good intro into this book. As always, funny and charming with those damn twins Anthony and Ambrose….If Anthony isn’t one of the world’s best friend I don’t know who is. I’m going to miss them now that the series is over. … especially Anthony’s tutelage of seduction to Colin….. just hilarious stuff. The first book of this series was better but this book comes in at a tight second. I recommend you read all three books, they are enjoyable.

Taming Wilde was a sidestep from my normal preference of Christian fiction, but exceeded my expectations by being an excellent story.Ms. Van Dyken and Ms. Sanders did an excellent job of pulling me into the story and keeping me tied there until the end. They even put in an unexpected twist that left me smiling.

Omg, so damn funny!! A man wanting to become a rake after having his heart broken, oh god so funny. He takes tutoring from a former rake of the ton while a lady takes lessons in seducing a rake. Oh goodness, this was certainly hilarious and fun loving and trying at times. All the misunderstandings, smh, yeah this book was so good
