    This short work is wonderful for anyone fascinated by the pyramids and the Sphinx. Zahi Hawass wrote a fascinating introduction about their history and included his latest theories.The large color photos are followed by the actual text of the narration you would hear if you were present in Giza for the show. This dialogue, while informative, is light-hearted and perfect for tired tourists at the end of the day. One of my favorites:SphinxThere at my feet, on this vast site, with mankind still in its infancy, walked and worked surveyors, geometers, astronomers to whom no star was unknown, engineers, architects, a whole people, while the rest of the world hunted wild beasts and sheltered in caves.
